The territory of Sweden has the most islands in the world. Most of them are uninhabited and probably more suited for running than Södermalm. But city life and running still go well together in Scandinavia. Södermalm means running around the hipsters and enjoying the views on the old city of Stockholm, Gamla Stan. 
It also means climbing up and down rocky parts of the island leading to relatively more hidden parts of the island.
And acknowledging natural boundaries. From an island the world looks like the ocean that it actually is.
